Responding to the public health emergency of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus, a new ICD-10-CM code has been created by the World Health Organization. The code, U07.1, 2019-nCoV acute respiratory disease) has been established and will be added to the next update of ICD-10-CM in October, 2020.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued this announcement.
