RAC Focus: Coding & Documentation of CHF

In this course the analogy of painting is used. This “art class” instructs the student to paint the perfect coding picture using the clinical palette and techniques. Congestive heart failure is the topic of discussion. There is an assumption of a base knowledge of coding ICD-9-CM diagnosis codes. This session is geared specifically towards coding for inpatient facility services; however, physician office coders will also gain a better understanding of the diagnosis and appropriate code selection for CHF.
This course authored by Paula Digby.
