In today’s episode Paula Digby addresses four questions. The first is from a physician practice coder, asking about salpingectomies for sterilization. Next, there are two from Inpatient Rehab coders; the first regarding comorbidities and etiologic diagnoses, and the second involving association of neuropathy in a diabetic patient. The final question regards the specific code selection for a Garden II fracture and whether it is a 40% diagnosis.

Today’s winner of the official Coffee with the Coder® mug is Mary from Georgia!

The “mug shot” here is of our long-time friend, Ilana Salisbury.
