During the “Insiders” portion of episode 129, Paula Digby tells us a little of the AMA conference she attended last week. During the live call Ms Digby weighs in on Non Physician Providers (NPPs, such as Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants) who document H&P and Progress Notes in the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility; must the Rehabilitation Physician sign off on their documentation? Our dear friend, Anonymous, asked about reporting a diagnostic catheter using ultrasound guidance for vascular access. Finally, a questioner wonders whether a nurse can complete the physician’s documentation for an encounter without entering the room during that encounter.
