Evaluation & Management 2023 and Beyond

2023 will see the updating of the CPT code set to align with the changes made to the outpatient office E/M codes in 2021. Since the changes made to the code set in 2021 we have been eagerly awaiting these changes to the rest of the code set to provide some cohesion. Its officially here with multiple code revisions, 25 codes deleted (including multiple code families) and massive revisions to the E/M guidelines to eliminate separate guidelines for codes that used history, examination, and medical decision making (MDM) as the three key components. With so many changes to code definitions, guidelines and massive deletions it can be a little daunting to think about. In this session we want to relieve you of those worries by covering all the changes to the E/M code set for 2023 so you can go into the new year confident in your coding knowledge.
