Critical Access Hospitals: Documentation for Quality Measures

HF349-box
Critical Access Hospital (CAHs) are not paid by Medicare based on CPT codes with a very few specific exceptions. Other payers do use these codes in their adjudication of claims. Looking into our future, it is likely that CAH may revert to Medicare PPS sooner rather than later. Critical in this instance is documentation to support Hospital Compare Measures and other risk areas faced by CAHs. This session is the first in a two-part segment prepared especially for CAHs.
