Census Bureau Releases Statistical Abstract of U.S. With Some Data on Health Care - Make Your Revenue Smarter

The U.S. Census Bureau on Tuesday released the “2009 Statistical Abstract of the United States,” which includes some data on health care, the New York Times reports. The report contains data from the Census Bureau and other sources. The report found that U.S. residents spent $259 billion on prescription drugs in 2007, compared with $72 billion in 1995. In addition, the report found women account for a majority of pharmacists. The report also found that 91% of the almost 12 million surgical and other cosmetic procedures performed in 2007 involved women (Roberts, New York Times, 12/17).
