In Episode 53, Paula Digby clarifies whether a Rehab Physician can provide a diagnosis that was not present during the preceding acute care stay as the etiologic for an inpatient rehab stay and how this practice is viewed by auditors. The second question is about the 7th character for injuries as comorbidities on the IRF-PAI and the final one asks about implementing the new reduced documentation for History and Exam elements.
