In today’s episode Paula Digby and Rucha Purohit answer three questions related to IRF (Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility). In the first, the question of whether “debility” should be the Etiologic Diagnosis for the IRF-PAI in a patient with multiple conditions.  In the second question, the correct usage of IGC 17 “Medically Complex” is considered; and in the final question, there is a concern of which codes to choose for a very short stay in an IRF.
